I like to think I'm a reasonably literate guy. I enjoy Shakespeare immensely, and I attend the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the Portland Center Stage presentations every year. I attend Shakespeare Santa Cruz when I can. If you want to talk Shakespeare, drop me a line. I also enjoy most theater productions. I go whenever I can, which is sadly not nearly often enough.
I also enjoy American literature (my wife, a scholar of English Literature, claims this is an oxymoron). My list of favorite authors includes Faulkner, Hemingway, Williams, Maugham, Capote, Twain, and many others. I am especially fond of short stories, since they don't require the investment of a full length novel and can thus be chewed up and digested easily in my limited spare time.
